Four Advantages of Using a Composite Hose

Hose pipes are basically used in industrial and home environments. While one may have full independence to choose their preferred hose for their home, when it comes to industrial applications, the most preferred one is the composite hose. It’s because this hose can be used in a variety of applications. There are several layers that have been used in making the hose pipe abrasion-resistant. Also, it has a layer of thermoplastic, polypropylene material along with a polyvinyl chloride cover that helps the wires together. The best part of these hoses is that it can be constructed as per one’s application requirement. It means if the chemical industry wants to use the hose pipe then it can be made using the PTFE layer to make it more applicable. There are several features why these hoses are considered ideal for industrial applications. Let’s take a look at the reasons below-

1.Low Bending Radius

The composite hose is considered ideal in terms of flexibility. If people want to use this for bulk gantry loading or unloading, it can be used in areas where the space is very minimal due to its low bending radius. Spaces that people think are unreachable can be reached by this hose pipe. The hose has several flexible sheet layers along with a helix wire to make the bend radius a little more than the internal diameter. To be precise, the internal diameter is only three times less than the bend radius which is why it provides the utmost flexibility.

2.No Welding

Normal hose pipes tend to break or crack under pressure after prolonged use because of the single layers used during the construction. However, the unique feature of these composite hoses is that there is no welding used in the design or assembly. This means these hoses are fail-safe Due to this quality, one can use hoses for a long period of time without any breakage or damage.

3.Easy to Repair

When using hose pipes in an industrial area, there are risks of the pipe getting burst and causing damage. However, when it comes to composite hoses, the design is made in a collapsible way. This means that even if the pipe fails or breaks, it will not cause the liquid to come out because it will just simply collapse. Above all, if any leak appears in these hoses, anyone can spot it easily and repair it as soon as possible. The repair doesn’t take long because there are multiple layers used during the construction. One single leak can’t cause damage to the multiple layers. Also, these hoses never undergo fatigue failure because of the long-lasting design used in constructing it.

4.Light Weight

Another advantage of using composite hoses is that it’s too easy to handle because of its lightweight. The storage and application can be easily done with these hoses. As compared to other hoses available in the market, the composite hose is almost 30% lighter than those in terms of weight.
